Returning Players

** NOTE : Registration invitations will be emailed directly to returning players **

Welcome Back!

There's nothing we love more than our members coming back to play with us in the following season!

Returning Players do not need to complete an Expression of Interest (EOI) form. Our members will be emailed an invitation directly to the Season Registration as soon as registration opens in early December.

A Returning Player is a player who has paid all of their club fees the previous year (ie a financial member). If the player has skipped a year, they are not considered a Returning Player and will need to go through the New Player process.

SIBLINGS of Returning Players who are NEW to the club can also be included on the Season Registration (as we offer Sibling Discounts). For NEW Year 7/8 Players who are a sibling of a Returning Player, they must go through the New Player process to participate in Trials. They can then be included on the Season Registration.

Registration Process for Returning Players (Years 5 and Up)

Following are the steps a Returning Player (year 5 and up) will need to take to play for FFNC in the following season:

  • Returning Players who will be in Year 7 or 8 in the winter season DO NOT need to attend Trials in November (this is only for new year 7/8 players to the club)
  • All Returning Players will be invited to join the club when Season Registrations open in October.
  • A deposit will be required to be paid to secure your place for next season.  If a deposit is not paid your position will not be secured and may be offered to a New Player.
  • Full payment of registration fees by the due date.
  • All registered players (New and Returning) from year 5 and up will need to attend Grading in February - registrations are closed during Grading period to control intake
  • After Grading, players are placed into a team - teams are not announced until all teams have enough players (we may need to do more recruiting and moving around of players)
  • Once teams are finalised, teams are announced to the players via email.

Refer to important dates section here

If you are a returning player and in year 5 or 6, you may not have been through a grading process. This is a series of sessions whereby we have independent graders observe the players in a number of short games. We play them in their nominated positions as per the Season Registration, rate the players and make notes.

You can learn more about FFNC grading here.

Uniforms can be ordered and paid for at the same time as Season Registration. You can learn more about our uniforms here.

If Returning Players miss the grading and team selection process, they can still register via the EOI form as a New Player. We use this form to source extra players as required. For this reason, we strongly encourage Returning Players to register ASAP, as you might lose your place in the club.
